The Larchmont Village BID hired us to help ensure its 10-year renewal by the City of LA by creating a detailed summary of the BID’s activities and budget for the voting property members. Meeting with key constituents in the BID and advising the BID’s Board, we secured overwhelming passage of the BID, including its first line item for branding/marketing the BID. We created the BID’s first mission statement, online presence (web site, Instagram, Facebook), and logo; and work with various local partners to ensure Larchmont Village’s unique positioning in Los Angeles, that it has appropriate City signage and banners, and positive relationships with its stakeholders: retailers, community based organizations and neighbors.
We have instituted Small Business Saturday events, orchestrated the first holiday lighting and decoration in nearly a decade, managed the City’s Big Belly Solar trash and recycling program, and have created renewed interest in the BID by both property owners and merchants, communicating with each regularly via monthly e-newsletter. Each BID event has been supported by a media component, garnering coverage in key local media outlets. These include: RackedLA, LarchmontBuzz, Larchmont Chronicle, Los Angeles magazine, Curbed, the local Patch.coms, and ABC-TV.
